Gymnast or Stunt Double?

video
Check out this video to see our dilemma- should we enroll Garrett in gymnastics (not sure where he's learning how to somersault, need to ask at daycare) or get him started on a stunt double career (he has no fear of falling over and onto things)?

Holy Corn

Garrett enjoyed corn on the cob. We had initially cut off the corn for him but he decided he wanted to eat it like us.

Allen thought it would be a good idea to teach Garrett to hold the cob in his mouth (with no hands) and growl.

The Trio

While at Jacque and Brice's wedding, we took the opportunity to have a family photo taken. Unfortunately we don't have any with the newlyweds, we didn't haul the camera into the reception, but we had a great time visiting with family. But most importantly, Jacque and Brice had a great wedding day!

The Challenge

The other day, Garrett thought his "challenge" should be to continuously crawl underneath Sampson and take the ball with him. To Sampson's credit, he didn't move as long as Allen kept petting him.

Fireworks...ZZZ

We watched fireworks while the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra played patriotic songs (my favorite: 1812 Overture- they even had real canons!). Garrett apparently wasn't overly impressed with the fireworks, he fell asleep.

Family for Father's Day

Garrett and the Seaman cousins on Father's Day. We decided that Garrett and Kellen will represent the two extremes of the Seaman cousins as they are oppposites- Garrett's got the blond hair/blue eyes/light skin and Kellen is the complete opposite.
For anyone's that been around Garrett and I, they know that his favorite position is to have his 2 middle fingers on his left hand in his mouth and his right hand down my shirt. If Allen's holding him and he's really tired, Garrett will even put his hand down Allen's shirt. Apparently Garrett got curious what was down Grandma's shirt...

Balloon Boy

Last weekend we went to Symphony on the Prairie. Garrett certainly enjoyed the balloon he got and we enjoyed hanging out with some friends. Amazingly, people around us weren't annoyed by the activities of a 3 year old, an 18-month old and a 10 month old- one couple even told us we were all great parents :)

Garrett also had his 18 month check-up last Friday. He remains to be our long, lean lovin' machine. Stats: height: 33.75 inches (85%), weight: 24 pounds, 7 ounces (30%) and his head circumference is the 50%. And his new teeth are apparently on a very slow boat to China, they've barely popped through...

Water Bug

While in Ohio for Father's Day, we went swimming at Uncle Rick's house.
Garrett LOVED swimming and protested when we made him get out (he was shivering!). Garrett got to swim with the dogs and cousin Tyler (here in the background).

Uncle Rick found a lifejacket for Garrett to try- it was a bit too big and didn't have the middle strap to help hold it down but Garrett thought it was fun for a little bit.

Puppy Love

Every kid needs a dog like Sampson- as long as he's getting attention, whether it be climbing over him or laying on him, he's happy.

Drooling with a Purpose

Garrett has been busy the past few days...he's had multiple teeth poke through his gums. He won't let us get a very good look or feel, but there's at least three of his back molars now visible with one more almost there AND a couple of eye teeth are almost through. There were a couple of days that he wasn't quite himself and his diapers were not pleasant, but that didn't interfere with the sleeping or eating (thank goodness!).
